Nutrition is one of the major factors that influence the body’s ability to perform athletically, and also to recover.  To perform at their best, our athletes need to be well fuelled.  This means eating a nutritious and well-balanced diet on a daily basis, preparing for training sessions and recovery through consumption of the right foods and fluids.

There are a number of ways to enhance recovery including:

  • Sleep and rest

  • Nutrition

  • Warm-down

  • Stretching

  • Massage

  • Compression garments

  • Relaxation techniques

  • Travel strategies
