South West Academy of Sport shooter Penny Smith has been selected for the Australian International Shooting Limited (AISL) Shadow Suqad which will compete at the Australian Youth Olympic Festival in January 2013.

Penny has had an outstanding year with the Academy - winning a handful of state, national and international titles in junior and seinor competition; shes also had success in her other passion equestrian winning state interschool competitions on her horse Kipfler.

Penny also had the oppertunity to meet the Queen this year because of her inspiring efforts within her sport.

Penny stated that "it was pretty good to be selected, and we'll wait and see what happens in further competitions to come".

SWAS are extremely proud of Pennys efforts this year and look forward to see how she goes in January.
